Pete Hylton Attends His First Knoxville Nationals as “Ultimate Fan”

Knoxville, IA (August 12, 2009) – Pete Hylton, an archivist and historian for the Sports Car Club of America, the author of two books: “Ghost Tracks A Historical Look at America’s Lost Road Racing Tracks” and “Sports Car Club of America 60 Years in Pictures”, was the contest winner for the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum’s “2009 Ultimate Fan” contest. 

Born in Indianapolis, Mr. Hylton now resides with his wife and three daughters in Brownsburg, Indiana where Hylton is the IUPUI Director of Motorsports and Associate Professor - Mechanical Engineering Technology at the Indiana University - Purdue University, in Indianapolis.

As the contest winner Hylton will receive: Four seats in a VIP Suites at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum for all four nights of the 49th Annual Knoxville Nationals, August 12, 13, 14 & 15.  Rooms for four at the Fairfield Inn located at the airport in Des Moines, for August 12, 13, 14, & 15, complements of the Fairfield Inn.  A $250.00 gas card complements of Casey’s General Store.  Hylton will also receive a gift bag from the Hall of Fame including 4- Knoxville Nationals Line-Up T-shirts from Dennison Racing Tee’s, Hats & T-Shirts from the Hall of Fame and two subscriptions to National Speed Sport News, two subscriptions Flat Out Magazine and two subscriptions Sprint Car & Midget Magazine.  And, Hylton will also be a VIP Guest of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum, attending all activities planned for its members each day including: the “Members Only” VIP Reception with the “Three Amigos” Brad Doty, Kenny Jacobs & Jac Haudenschild, daily admission to the Hall of Fame & Museum, Movie Theater and admission to the daily Fan Forums held each day during the Knoxville Nationals.  Congratulations to Pete Hylton, the staff of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum are all looking forward to having you here as our guest.
